About Me

Nicole D'Angelo (they/she) is a music director, pianist, and multi-instrumentalist in the NJ/NYC area. A recovering classical musician, they majored in piano and bass clarinet at Montclair State University before pursuing musical theater full time. Nicole was the assistant music director and script consultant for the Broadway musical How to Dance in Ohio, for which they received a special Drama Desk Award as a member of the show’s groundbreaking accessibility team. They are a music director on staff at the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan and the Head Music Director at French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts in Hancock, NY. They have also worked extensively in professional, community, and educational theater spaces across NJ and NYC. Nicole is proudly Autistic and a passionate advocate for authentic representation and equitable hiring of disabled artists in the musical theater industry. They would love to tell you all about their cats Whizzer, Hope, and Charley!
